I finished up a couple of scratch built Tyranid Mycenic spores which I'll post soon. I've also spent alot of time working on some flying Tyranid Warriors, also for Warhammer 40K (see picturer). I've also been working on my Babylon 5 Kestral Shuttle model which should be done this week. When I'll get it posted, I dunno.

I've been busy. I finished up a couple of Star Wars kits; the TIE Interceptor and TIE Defender. They'll be up eventually. Mostly, however, I've been working on Warhammer 40,000 stuff.
I'm getting my Flayed Ones ready to paint along with a Necron Lord with Destoyer body. I've done some terraine, a bunch of it actually. Most coolly, I've worked on my last Hive Tyrant. I've done some extensive modifications. I cut his legs up to make him stand up. I always think that the Tyrands need to stand taller and be more "open" so you can see the details without having to get under it. I also modified the Barbed Strangler to make it work with this lower arms instead of the right arms. For the upper arms, I added some Carnifex claws. I cast them from resin.

The Oregon weather has kept me from posting my recent models. I usually use indirect sunlight to photograph my models and we haven't had sunlight in months and won't for more months. In the meantime, I've been trying to make some kind of studio lighting system set up.

Warhammer 40,000 is still on the front burner right now. I'm trying to finish an entire Necron army. I bought a couple of boxes of the Necron Army and am making decent headway into creating a third WH40K army.
I finished the Land Raider and a Bloodthirter, Greater Daemon of Khorne for a friend of mine. I'll post them as soon as I get the pictures developed. The Excelsior is an box somewhere around here.

I've been modeling alot lately. I've finished a few ships and posted them (see the new page). I'm still trying to get interested enough in my Excelsior to finish it. I have started on a Space Marine Land Raider, a 12 inch figure of death and a WH40K Greater Deamon of Khorne, which I'm painting as favor for a friend. In a couple of days, I'll begin work on my Necron army. Hopefully, I'll have a a few of these other projects done by then.

I may have neglected Nugax, but I have been eeking out a model here and there. I started and completed the Roger Young from Starship Troopers, though a decal snafu has forced me to rename it the Valley Forge (for now). The Babylon 5 Pirate Raider is also done and nice. Expect pictures of these as soon soon.
The Babylon 5 Space Station kit was a complete disaster. I guess I just wasn't paying enough attention during building. Not a single aspect of it I like; not the building, not the paint, not the decals, not the finish. It's a disaster and won't be seen on Nugax. Luckily I have several other to try.
I've been dabbling again in Warhammer 40,000 figures. I pained three Raveners, the Red Terror and a new monstrous creature, the Dactylis to add to the already very impressed Tyranid Swarm 532. Pictures of these will also be coming soon. I also ordered a Necron Army for Caius and me. They'll be fun to paint this summer.
For my next starship, I'm looking at the Excelsior from Star Trek III. I don't love the ship, but I'd like to try a "white" Federation ship.
I'm toying with a life size Alien Facehugger model, but I lost one of the fingers! I'll have to cast another one before I can make it which actually sound like fun!

Okay sports fans, thanks for dropping by. I have completed five new models and once I take some pics, I'll have them up for all to admire. I'm working on two Babylon 5 kits now: the Babylon 5 Station by Revell and a resin Pirate Raider Fighter from Temporal Rift. The jury is still out on them. I'm also painting a couple of Tyranid Raveners to help round out my Nids. All these should be done this week. I hope.

I'm trying to get nugax caught up with my latest models and finally get the Centurion pages done. No excuse but laziness.
I finished a Dr. Who Tardis which should appear here soon. I also slapped together the Reliant, which I think will be forever unfinished due to my apathy about the ship and the fact that I can't put the decals on it properly without the help of little elves. The Enterprise C is finished and very good. I'll have it up soon.
I have a Klingon Battle Cruiser, K'Tinga on the bench which is being assembled, I'm still working on the Gillman bust. I have a Halcyon Alien model which is coming along very nicely right now.
I got a new airbrush, the Sotar 20/20 (I swear I'd buy Spam if David Fisher said he used it). It's a great airbrush though. I've already bent a needle! I'm spoiled now. Expect to see lots of airbrush projects on nugax.

I finished several models since my last update. The Voyager model is done, The Area 51 Saucer is finsihed, though I don't like it much. The Grey Alien is also done. I finsihed the Devestator and liked it so much, I built a Predator to go with it. Now all I have to do is create pages for these guys.
Currenlty on the bench is the USS Enterprise C, Planet Express, from Futurama, A Gillman Bust and I've been poking around with a USS Reliant. I hate the Reliant. Why am I always building kits I hate?

Progress report
Just finished my Malefactor - one of my best pieces. Pulled out every trick in the book for it. I'll photograph it this week.
I'm debating whether to put some decals on my Devestator. If I don't, it's finished.
I'm putting Voyager off until I get some after-market decals. I don't want to have to deal with the lifeboats.
New Projects
While I still have the great warm green mixed up from the Devestator, I threw together a Rhino and will be painting it today (I hope).
I'm building the Testor's Area 51 UFO kit. It's still too early to tell how it'll come out. I've done a bit of research on Bob Lazar's claims about Area 51 and the UFO he worked on. I'll include a couple of links when the model is done. Kinda interesting.
I'm also building the 7" Grey Alien bonus figure that came with the Testor's kit. It's a "Grey" alien. Marcus digs it as much as he did the Alien.
The opening of my Bagel Shop draws near. Modeling will probably be curtailed for a while.

Games Workshop Warhammer 40,000 Devestator Tank
This one has been sitting on my shelf for years. I finally decided to do soemthing with it. I build it back in college, but I finally put a little paint on it. So far I like it. I mixed a wonderful warm green. I'm experimenting with Sienna, Ochres and Umbers. Very cool.
Armorcast Tyranid Malefactor
I have 2 of these. I got them each for about $35. Now that Games Workshop has actually printed rules for these, they're going on ebay for $120+. I decided to do something with one of mine after playing a WH40K game. It gives me a good chance to start working with resin. I'm trying new things such as airbrushing the highlights and shadows instead of washes and drybrushing.
Revell Voyager
I don't (didn't?) like Voyager the series, but I like the ship. I collected several of these kits when they were very difficult to get. I sent away to Europe for mine. Now, suddenly there are crates of them on ebay. Damn! Anyone want to trade something for a Voyager? I mixed a wonderful blue/gray for this kit. Very warm and nice. As long as I don't screw up the detail, it should end up being one of my favorites.
