This army is the product of my good friend and Masonic Brother, Jeff Jonsson. It's an awesome army and makes me want to go back and rework my Marine Chapter. Nothing like a little competition to inspire creativity. Please email Jeff with your opinions and compliments. |

Skull HuntersThe Skull Hunters Space Marines were chartered not by the emperor, but by Anax Asterius, one of the Legatus Legionis, favorites of the Emperor. This chapter of the Adeptes Astartes, while still unnamed, saw its first action against a cannabilistic legion of Chaos Space Marines. The Cannibals, known as the Devourers, would eat a man down to his head, and would then collect the skulls of the eaten and adorn their armor with the remains. The Outnumbered Skull Hunters after losing a hopeless battle to the Devourers returned to their homeworld and plotted their revenge, taking their name at that time. Desiring only to return the remains of their Legionnaire brothers to their temple, and bury them with honors. Six long years later, the Skull Hunters caught up with the Devourers on Arcturus Disastorum 9 and wiped them out. The temple vault still contains the skulls of those lost in that first battle. Since that time, the Skull Hunters have been deployed to worlds without number, defeating foe after foe, and learning the true meaning of sacrifice for His Glorious Majesty the Emperor. Currently, the Skull Hunters are tracking Tyranid Swarm 532 in an attempt to wipe space clean of this dread scourge. |
